How early should I book a moving service?
For local moves in the Ontario, CA area, booking 1β2 weeks out is usually enough. For long-distance or nationwide moves, give us 3β4 weeks when you can. That said, if your move is coming up fast, call us anyway β we'll do our best to work something out.
How do I get a quote?
Easy. Fill out the form on our Contact page or give us a call. We'll ask a few questions about the size of the move, your locations, and your timeline β then give you a clear, straightforward estimate. No pressure, no obligation.
Is the quote free?
Yes, always. Getting an estimate from One Stop HGM Moving costs you nothing.
What information do I need to have ready when I call?
It helps to know your pickup and drop-off addresses, your planned move date, a rough idea of how much you're moving (number of rooms or a list of large items), and any special items that need extra handling β like a piano, safe, or gym equipment.
Do you provide packing materials?
Yes. We supply boxes, packing tape, bubble wrap, packing paper, and furniture padding. Everything we need to pack your belongings safely is included when you book packing services with us.
Can you pack my whole house, or just certain items?
Both. We can handle a full pack-up of your entire home, or you can just hand off the fragile stuff, the awkward items, or whatever you don't want to deal with. Your call.
How do you handle fragile or valuable items?
Carefully and deliberately. Fragile items β dishes, artwork, mirrors, electronics, antiques β get wrapped individually with proper materials and packed so they don't shift in transit. If you have something particularly valuable or irreplaceable, let us know upfront so we can give it the right attention.
Should I empty my dresser drawers before the move?
For local moves, lighter drawers can usually stay as-is. For long-distance moves, it's better to empty them β it reduces weight and keeps things from shifting. We'll walk you through it when we assess your move.

Do you move on weekends?
Yes, we offer Saturday moves. Weekend slots fill up faster than weekdays, so if you need a Saturday, book as early as you can. We're closed Sundays.
What areas do you serve?
We're based in Ontario, California and serve the entire Inland Empire β including Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, Upland, Chino, Chino Hills, Pomona, Riverside, and San Bernardino. We also serve Los Angeles County and Orange County. For moves beyond Southern California, we handle long-distance and nationwide relocations to all 50 states.
Can you move heavy or oversize items?
Yes. Safes, pianos, large appliances, gym equipment, and industrial furniture are all things we've handled before. We come equipped with the right tools and enough crew to move heavy items safely β without damaging your floors or walls in the process.
Will the same crew handle my entire move start to finish?
Yes. The team that shows up to load your belongings is the same team that delivers them. We don't hand off your move mid-job.
How long will my move take?
It depends on the size of the move and the distance. A one-bedroom local move might take 3β5 hours. A larger home move could take a full day. We'll give you a realistic time estimate when you get your quote so you can plan accordingly.
Do you handle long-distance moves?
Yes. We move people across California, to neighboring states, and coast to coast. Long-distance moves get the same level of care and planning as our local jobs β just more coordination upfront.
Do you offer nationwide moving services?
Yes. One Stop Moving provides nationwide relocation services to all 50 states. If you're relocating from Ontario, CA to New York, Texas, Florida, or anywhere in between β we can make it happen.
How do I know where my stuff is during a long-distance move?
We keep communication open throughout the move. You'll have a direct point of contact, and we'll update you on delivery timelines. You won't be left wondering.

How is the cost of my move calculated?
Pricing is based on a combination of factors: the size of the move, distance, services needed (packing, loading only, full service), and any special items. We'll lay all of that out clearly in your estimate so nothing catches you off guard.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. We're upfront about pricing from the start. If anything changes that would affect the cost β like unexpected access issues or additional items β we'll tell you before we proceed, not after.
Do I need to tip the movers?
Tips are never required, but they're always appreciated. If the crew did a great job, it's a nice way to say so β but it's completely up to you.
What's your cancellation policy?
If your plans change, just let us know as soon as possible. We'll work with you on rescheduling. Specific cancellation terms will be outlined when you book.
